About the Role

The Licensed Insurance Agent will serve as a trusted advisor for both personal and commercial clients across New Jersey. This position is ideal for an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) professional with a strong understanding of state insurance laws and a passion for helping clients protect their assets.

You’ll manage and grow your own book of business while ensuring every client interaction reflects professionalism, accuracy, and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on personal and commercial insurance coverage based on individual needs and risk profiles.
  • Quote, bind, and service policies in accordance with New Jersey regulations and carrier guidelines.
  • Generate new business through referrals, networking, and local market relationships.
  • Manage renewals, policy changes, endorsements, and client documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide expert support to Spanish-speaking clients throughout the sales and service process.
  • Maintain strong communication with carriers to ensure timely and effective policy servicing.
  • Stay current on state regulations, carrier offerings, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Active New Jersey Property & Casualty license required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of New Jersey insurance laws and carrier requirements.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • Strong client service and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with multiple insurance carriers and agency management systems.
  • Self-motivated and organized with strong follow-through.
  • Proven ability to retain clients and cross-sell across product lines.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $40,000–$50,000 , plus commission and performance incentives.
