Job Description

Ra Coffee Company is gearing up for summer and looking at hiring an additional line cook to join our 20+ person strong team. We are located on 110 S Goose Creek Blvd. Goose Creek, SC. Our ideal candidate is attentive to deals, ambitious, strong work ethic, engaged with co-workers and customers. Enjoys working at a fast pace. Availability Monday-Friday 6:00 am up to 1:00 pm and 6:30 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Responsibilities:

• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves and in coolers so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other sandwich prep.
• Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
• Prepare customer orders to business standards, such as salads and sandwiches (hot & cold)
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Stock inventory
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred, but not a necessity.

Line Cook Qualifications / Skills:

• Must be at least 16 years old, preferably 17 years old
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Organizational skills
• Patience
• Manual dexterity
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good endurance (be on your feet for the duration of your shift)
• Ability to read and follow specifics on customer orders
• Strong attention to detail and high quality standards
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers, management and customers
• Able to meet all scheduling commitments
• Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
