Position:

Mainframe Developer

Description:

We are seeking a Mainframe Developer for a long-term contract assignment with our client, one of the largest IT employers in SC.
In this role, you will work with Cobol, CICS, JCL, and DB2 on a large team of developers in a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities include coding, testing, and implementing mainframe programs written in Cobol, CICS, and DB2; analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex application tasks and projects; devising feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems through the use of computer resources; formulating scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems; reviewing detailed specifications and recommending modifications; designing, coding, testing, and debugging complex application programs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree , or additional job-related work experience.
6+ years of application development, systems testing, or other job-related experience.
COBOL, CICS, and DB2 experience required.
Nice to have: IMS and team lead experience.
US Citizen work status required.
Local to Columbia, SC or within commuting distance and willing to work onsite when needed.
No C2C or 3rd party candidates.
