**A Snapshot of Your Day**
In this role located at our Fort Madison, IA Blade Facility you'll be part of a dynamic team of manufacturing professionals. These duties include performing installations, complete repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and alterations to sophisticated machinery, machine tools, lifting equipment, and fixtures. Record all required data of repairs and installations. Interpret and implement corrective actions from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions. Recommend appropriate corrective action in accordance with referenced specifications, accepted industry and shop practices. Perform mechanical construction work as required.
**How You'll Make an Impact**
+ Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions.
+ Accurately report findings of inspections to operations, supervisor, etc.
+ Document, organize, and retain all findings of evaluations and inspections in a timely manner.
+ Interpret drawings, sketches, etc. to select necessary tools and materials needed for assignments.
+ Complete preventive maintenance and routine repairs on all equipment and operating systems within the facility, including gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic & lubrication systems, injection, heating, and molding equipment.
+ Perform inspections on lifting equipment such as chains, cables, shackles, eyebolts, clamps, and lifting beams to figure out safest operating conditions. Maintain records as required.
**What You Bring**
+ High School diploma or equivalent required. 2 year technical degree is preferred. Various combinations of experience and education will be considered.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience repairing machine tool equipment is preferred.
+ Welding, fabrication, and assembly experience is also preferred.
+ Familiarity with safety equipment and following established safety procedures. This includes lock out tag out protocol.
+ Passing score on General Proficiency test
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
