Position

The Manager, Research and Analytics will be a part of the Advancement team and will report to the Director, Advancement Operations. They will be responsible for identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for individual major gifts and organizational cultivation and solicitation to support US Soccer’s priorities and campaign. Using industry best practices and methodologies, they will lead portfolio optimization, develop, and implement processes for a robust research and analytics program through predictive modeling, reporting and innovative analytics to maximize the potential of US Soccer’s overall fundraising pipeline. In addition to the research and analytics responsibilities this position supports US Soccer’s gift compliance activities in conjunction with leadership. Stay abreast of innovative research and analytical methodologies in the field.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research using various research tools, databases, and publicly available information to identify new prospects and qualify new donor sources including individuals, corporations, foundations, and multilateral organizations that align with the organization's priorities and prepare associated briefing materials. 
  • Assess the capacity, inclination, and philanthropic history of potential donors through comprehensive research and analysis. 
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and analytics to track KPI’s, progress to goal, campaign progress, and predictive modeling that provide insights to inform strategy and portfolio adjustments in collaboration with CAO, Director, Strategy, and other staff.
  • Draft, implement, and manage policies and procedures related to the prospect research request process and portfolio management tracking.
  • In partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer and Director, Advancement Operations, provide insights and recommendations to determine the best approach for donor cultivation and engagement based on research findings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospect information, interactions, and research findings in Salesforce database and regularly review prospect profiles to ensure accurate tracking and strategic planning.
  • Engineer process improvement for automation of processes via Salesforce for event preparations/bio books, and other related projects.
  • Analyze prospect data, major gift officers’ performance metrics, and campaign progress to generate reports, and dashboards to provide insights to inform fundraising strategies, portfolio optimization and decision-making processes.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in research, data management and analytics required; preferably in a highly complect non-profit environment and/or higher education, healthcare setting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience using iWave and Salesforce required. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experienced with Power Bi, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, advance Excel, Access, Power Point,) Outlook, Slack and Adobe Acrobat. 
  • Strong knowledge of CRM donor databases including best practices for tracking and reporting.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • General knowledge of soccer.
