Position Summary:
We are looking for talented individuals for the role of Market Insight Leader to join our New Business Development (NBD) team at Infineum. This is a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to Infineum's growth beyond Sustainable Transportation. The NBD team, consisting of Business, Commercial, and Scientific experts, is instrumental in driving our growth strategy, exploring new markets, and shaping the future of Infineum's specialty chemicals.
Joining Infineum and the NBD team means becoming part of an innovative organization that values its people and empowers them to make a difference. This role is essential for understanding value chains, competitive landscapes, adjacencies, and alternative solutions in new specialty chemicals markets. The successful candidate will perform in-depth market analysis and gather customer insights to validate customer desirability and commercial viability, supporting our ideation and innovation efforts.
Additionally, the Market Insight Leader will propose positioning and entry strategies, business models, and scale rationales, and play a key role in M&A screening and supporting deeper analysis and diligence.
Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Perform in-depth market analysis, including voice of the customer, value chain analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and identification of adjacencies and alternative solutions.
• Assess customer desirability and commercial viability to support ideation and innovation.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to venture leaders and stakeholders.
• Propose positioning and entry strategies, business models, and scale rationales.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Manage a portfolio of external consultants, market analysis, and financial platforms.

A successful candidate is likely to have:
• A degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. A background in chemical or material sciences with an MBA and M&A experience is a plus.
• Proven experience in market analysis, strategic marketing, or a similar role.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and summarize complex data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse colleagues in the Technology, Business, and Corporate Strategy teams.
