Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, focused individual to train as a medical billing assistant. This is an amazing entry level opportunity to get a foot in the door to learn medical billing on the job. The medical billing assistant works with the facilities billing department, performing a variety of tasks to support patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers: This position is Monday through Friday 8-5 starting wage is $18.00 per hour.

• Billing
• Bill patients or insurance companies for medical services or procedures, and make payment arrangements
• Claims
• Make insurance claims, submit claims to insurance companies and government programs, and follow up on unpaid claims and denials
• Collections
• Collect on outstanding accounts and monitor delinquent accounts
• Patient accounts
• Review, audit, and reconcile patient accounts, and maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records
• Communication
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers as needed, and assist patients with billing concerns and inquiries
• Other duties
• Assemble clients' information, close and scan files for archiving, and ensure that client records contain accurate information 

Must be able to pass and durg screen and background check.
