Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient billing processes, ensuring accurate claim submissions, and following up on outstanding payments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and government payers.
+ Review and verify patient billing data for accuracy and completeness.
+ Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through follow-up and appeals.
+ Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
+ Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and outstanding balances.
+ Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.
Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing/coding preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in medical billing or healthcare finance.
+ Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR).
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and insurance guidelines.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
