Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney - Fort Lauderdale
A respected defense firm in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to defend healthcare professionals and institutions in complex medical malpractice cases. Whether you're a recent law school graduate with Bar admission or an attorney with up to 4-5 years of experience , we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Assist in the defense of medical malpractice cases from inception to resolution
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
Provide risk management guidance to healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Litigation experience (preferred but not required)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
