Salary: $30 - $40/hour

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist III to join our Transfusion Services team. This role performs both routine and specialized laboratory tests to support accurate disease diagnosis and treatment. The Medical Technologist III serves as a technical expert in their field, overseeing quality control, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include training staff, assisting with procedure manual updates, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report transfusion-related laboratory results with independent judgment
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Lead and implement new procedures, instrumentation, and quality control measures
• Train and mentor new and existing staff, ensuring competency and compliance
• Oversee departmental proficiency testing and regulatory documentation
• Assist in reviewing laboratory reports, procedures, and quality control records

Requirements:

• Certification: ASCP or equivalent required
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field with required certification/licensure
• Experience: Minimum three years of experience in moderate-to-high complexity testing required; leadership experience preferred
