Role Overview
The MuleSoft Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of API-led integration solutions across key workstreams-External Partner Integrations, Identity & Authentication, and Event-Driven Architecture. This role involves hands-on coding, mentoring developers, and ensuring adherence to best practices in MuleSoft development. The Tech Lead will collaborate closely with Architects and Product Owners to translate designs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Implementation & Development

• Develop and implement MuleSoft APIs and integrations using Mule 4 and DataWeave.
• Build reusable templates, connectors, and components for CloudHub 1.0/2.0.
• Ensure secure API development aligned with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and TLS standards.
• Implement event-driven integrations using MuleSoft MQ, DLQs, and retry strategies.

Technical Leadership

• Lead a team of developers across onsite/offshore PODs.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure MUnit test coverage.
• Guide the team in CI/CD setup using GitHub Actions and secrets management.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize integrations across environments.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with Architects to understand and implement integration designs.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and ensure Definition of Ready/Done.
• Collaborate with QA teams to support automated testing and quality gates.

Governance & Monitoring

• Follow API style guides and contribute to reference implementations.
• Implement observability using Anypoint Monitoring and centralized logging.
• Support SLO/SLI definitions and performance baselining.

Operational Readiness

• Assist in creating runbooks and support documentation.
• Participate in knowledge transfer and handover activities for managed services transition.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in integration development, with 3+ years in MuleSoft.
• Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange).
• Proficient in RESTful API design, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and external IdP integrations (Okta, Azure AD).
• Experience with event-driven architecture and MuleSoft MQ.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of MUnit, Postman, and contract testing.

Preferred Certifications

• MuleSoft Certified Developer Level 1 (MCD).
• MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (preferred).
• AWS/Azure integration certifications (nice to have).
