NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Euclid, OH

*Must be available for any shift assigned after training.* This position is within a UNION environment and must adhere to Union requirements. We cannot consider applicants who require a specific shift.

Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions per routings, sketches, prints, procedures, manuals, and records as required to perform assigned inspections.

• In accordance with approved procedures, perform NDT inspections in one or more of the following methods:- Visual Inspection - VT

  • Dye Penetrant Testing -PT
  • Magnetic Particle Testing -MT
  • Ultrasonic Testing - UT
  • Radiography -RT

• Verify weld fit-ups using basic gages.

• Works in close cooperation with NDT Engineering, Weld Engineering, Welders and Quality Engineering.

• Assist others in the use of equipment, processes, procedures, and evaluation of welds and material defects.

• Complete and maintain all documentation as directed by work instructions and policies.

• Report non-conformances on proper documentation and logs.

• When required, move hardware to other areas with material handling equipment.

• Perform machine maintenance, housekeeping and other duties as assigned by supervision.

• Follow and comply with all rules related to operations, safety and security.

• Maintain reliable attendance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalence.

• 2 years' minimum NDT inspection experience.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operational sketches.

• Meet required vision standards.

• Experience using micrometers and other gages required by work instructions.

• Ability to maintain accurate documentation of procedures.

• Be eligible for future applicable certification exams required by the customer and the company.

• United States citizenship only. No dual citizenship.

• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• Quality Inspection Experience
