Network Security Engineer - Boca Raton, FL
This role will be responsible for executing complex configurations, implementation and support of network and security infrastructure equipment. The team member will be expected to interact with customers, peers, vendors and partners to help operationalize and secure their networks by developing a strong security posture, deploying SD-WAN, Software Defined Access and legacy networking technologies.
Responsibilities
Participate in Professional Service projects for the configuration, implementation and migrations
of various network technologies (routers, switches, firewalls & WLAN controllers) while
providing superior customer experience.
Be a point of escalation for Managed Services team for critical or advanced issues.
Implement and support various network and
security appliances for customers on-prem or in the
cloud as well as perform network and firewall migrations for multiple customers
Troubleshoot complex network and security related issues
Interpret compliance and security standards into implementable and repeatable controls for
customers
Ensure compliance of network and systems standards (SOX, SOC2, PCI) by implementing and
maintaining configuration for network segmentation and firewall policies
Perform infrastructure assessments for customers and provide recommendations based on
findings.
Consult with clients on security policies to be implemented based on customer requirements
Provide network hardware/software support and creates/maintain documentation
and diagrams for multiple customers.
Handle trouble tickets by phone or email to resolve customer and network issues to resolution in
a timely manner.
Work with customers to architect network and security solutions based on business objectives
and requirements
Job Requirements Should have extensive experience with implementations of solutions involving large data
centers/inter-office routing and switching.
Working knowledge of EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN.
Hands on experience and demonstrated expertise in the following:
Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K configuration
Cisco Enterprise Networking (routing and switching)
Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Appliances
Palo Alto Firewalls
Great personality, team-building attitude with strong troubleshooting, verbal and written skills.
Ability to multi-task between multiple projects and escalated issues.
This position will involve an on-call schedule, providing after hours support as necessary.
Experience
Possess college degree in Engineering or 7+ years technical experience as a Network/Security
Engineer.
