A renown and progressive Medical Center in sunny, warm and coastal Northern California is very excited to announce the search for a qualified Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health to add to the expanding Maternal Child Health and Perinatal department.
The Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will work with a hospital that is part of a stable and growing health system. The hospital provides patient-centered, economical health services with a special concern for the sick poor and their families. The acute care hospital has six community-based health clinics with the largest and busiest private emergency trauma center in the community.
In collaboration with the Nursing Director of Perinatal Service, the Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care services in units under his/her responsibility. The Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will ensure the delivery of quality nursing care to patients and families.
The Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will hold responsibility for the daily operations of the department: productivity, competencies, payroll, scheduling and assist the director with budgeting. The Nurse Supervisor of Perinatal Services may be pulled into direct patient care so they must have clinical expertise with vaginal deliveries as well as awareness of high risk deliveries.
The Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will be supported by a highly collaborative team, well trained and tenured staff]. The Nurse Supervisor of Maternal Child Health will be responsible for a busy and fast paced 20 Labor and Delivery rooms with 9 Antepartum beds department delivering approximately 7,000 babies with 775 babies cared for in the state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Center.
