The St. Ambrose University Department of Nursing in Davenport, IA invites qualified applicants for a full-time faculty tenure track position. Candidates will be joining a well-established department focused on implementing the approved curriculum based on the mission and philosophy of the Department of Nursing and St Ambrose University.
This 11-month position would start on August 15, 2024. Nursing faculty are professionals with the education and skills to prepare the next generation of nurses. They provide opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and practice skills identified in course objectives within classroom, laboratory and clinical settings; using appropriate and innovative teaching methods across a variety of modalities - including online and face to face teaching. All nursing faculty at St Ambrose University participate in the program's evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
Qualified applicants will possess an earned Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DNP). Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Iowa. Licensure in additional states may be required. Candidates with experience in behavioral health nursing are preferred. Faculty rank will be commensurate with the applicant's credentials, interest and experience. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and scholarship with experience in academia will enhance the candidate's application.
