Job Summary:
The Maintenance/Driver is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that the residential buildings are safe, clean, and well-maintained. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for transporting clients to various locations, such as medical appointments, community activities, and other designated destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building Maintenance:
    • Perform general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as needed.
    • Conduct regular inspections of residential buildings and grounds to identify repair needs and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facilities.
    • Maintain and organize tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
    • Assist in preparing and setting up rooms or common areas for client activities or events.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
    • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
  • Transportation:
    • Safely transport clients to scheduled appointments, community events, or other necessary locations in a company vehicle.
    • Assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and regular servicing of company vehicles.
    • Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, maintenance, and fuel usage.
    • Follow all traffic and safety regulations during transport.
  • Client Support:
    • Provide courteous and professional interaction with clients, ensuring their needs are met during transportation and while on-site.
    • Assist with loading/unloading personal items or equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in building maintenance, repairs, or a similar role.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
