Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires that each full-time employee receive a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. 

This advertisement is for a Office Technician (T) position.  Located at the California Institution for Women in Corona, San Bernardino.

Under the direct supervision of the Chief Deputy Warden or designee and under the lead of the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) and Correctional Counselor II (CC II) (Supervisor) Grievance Coordinator, the Incarcerated Persons Grievance Office, Office Technician (OT) (Typing) is responsible for typing, filing, assisting with the maintenance of the Office of Grievance Tracking (OGT) located in the Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) and arranging Incarcerated Person clarification interviews requested by the Centralized Screening Team (CST) located within the Office of Internal Affairs (OIA).  Specific duties include but are not limited to the following.

Assist in initiating and completing all paperwork necessary for attorney client clearances and visit requests. Assist in arranging and coordinating depositions for attorneys and their Incarcerated Person clients.  Maintain a master roster of cleared attorneys and their support staff.  Assist with service of legal documents as needed and process and track all Incarcerated Person Proof of Service documents.  Monitor housing unit posters assuring compliance.  Receive, process, route requests for document reproduction.  Assist in preparing, logging and scheduling maintaining/and offering Incarcerated Person notary services.

This is a Correctional Institution open 24 hours/7days a week, all positions will be office centered.

You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
