Job Description

Our client is a multi specialty group that is seeking a full time or part time oral surgeon. This is a private group with a wonderful reputation for high quality patient care. They also have a busy patient base with their team of internal referrals. A surgeon can earn well over 400K per year.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Oral Surgeon performs surgery and other related procedures on the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial regions to treat diseases, injuries, or defects. May diagnose problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions. May perform surgery to improve function and/ or appearance.

JOB DUTIES:
Educating patients on oral healthcare
Examining teeth and diagnosing oral diseases using tools such as z-rays.
Promoting oral health and disease prevention.
Creating treatment plans to maintain or restore the oral health of patients.
Interpreting x-rays and diagnostic tests.
Ensuring the safe administration of anesthetics.
Monitoring growth and development of teeth and jaw.
Performing surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity.
Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoration of teeth affected by disease or decay.
Trauma surgery
Jaw Surgery
Pathology
Implant dentistry
Maintaining patients dental records.
Keeping abreast of new developments through structured continuing professional development (CPD).
Marketing services to potential clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
DDS/DMD from accredited university
State practice license
CPR Certification
Three (3) years professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Additional professional experience
Additional professional related certifications

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive knowledge of practice
Interpersonal Skills
Punctuality
Ability to handle high pace environment
Keeping CPR certification up to date
