Job Description

Job Summary: The Parts Counterperson at Capistrano Auto is responsible for assisting customers with purchasing and locating auto parts, organizing and maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service. This is a full-time, individual contributor position in the auto industry located in San Juan Capistrano, California. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers with locating and purchasing the correct auto parts
• Use computer systems to look up parts and provide accurate pricing and availability
• Organize, label, and store incoming parts to keep inventory well-maintained and easily accessible
• Track parts usage and re-order as needed to ensure timely availability
• Process customer payments and provide receipts
• Work with mechanics and technicians to fulfill orders and provide necessary parts for repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department and counter area
• Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer needs and offering appropriate solutions
• Stay current on product knowledge and industry trends to ensure accurate and efficient service

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working in the automotive industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of auto parts and their functions
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software, such as inventory management systems and Microsoft Office
• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
