Under supervision, a Patient Sitter is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living and assists in the maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities and utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. This Patient Sitter requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in the administrative functions of the unit as needed/where appropriate. Other related duties as assigned.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within 6 months of hire date.
Minimum six (6) months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.
Demonstrated ability to observe deviations from normal.
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
Medical Terminology Certificate.
Bilingual: Spanish/English.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $44,746 - $52,409 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $21.43 - $25.10
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
