Case Info The patient is 24 years old, with a g-tube and trach. He is non-mobile/non-verbal and requires total assist for ADLs. Given his age and size, he requires a hoyer lift or a two person assist for transferring. The patient is seriously the coolest. He is a serious family man. He loves to be right in the middle of everything. He is a big comedian and loves his sitcoms and comedy movies. He's a big sports fan as well. Especially football! He lives at home with mom, dad, and 10 brothers and sisters. He also has multiple pets in the home (cats & dogs). Responsibilities of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs) Medication administration per physician orders Physician ordered treatments for: Nutrition via a feeding tube Tracheostomy care Suctioningnasal, oral and/or endotracheal Ventilation care Seizure assessment and treatment Requirements for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs) Current, active Florida RN or LPN license Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online) G-tube, trach, vent experience, or willing to train TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF) Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed) 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website) About Care Options for Kids Care Options for Kids is the leading provider of pediatric nursing services.
