Job Description

Our client, a local healthcare facility, is seeking a  Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy operations. This role combines leadership, operational management, and clinical oversight to ensure high-quality pharmacy services.

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed  Pharmacist in the state of  New York
• Minimum of  five (5) years of experience in an institutional pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and progressive leadership experience

Salary: $160-185K

Job Responsibilities for Pharmacy Manager:

• Develops and updates department policies, scope of services, and quality indicators
• Oversees pharmacy staff, including selection, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Leads department meetings and ensures effective communication of hospital and pharmacy initiatives
• Ensures accurate and timely dispensing of medications, refills, and automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) restocking
• Resolves internal pharmacy operational challenges and collaborates with clinical coordinators on patient care plans
• Stays current on hospital pharmacy trends, safety initiatives, and quality improvement strategies
• Identifies opportunities for new programs and process optimization to enhance efficiency
• Assists in achieving department goals and provides pharmacist support as needed
