People’s Health Center currently have 3 Pharmacy Technician positions open . In addition to the duties listed, all opportunities require a passion to serve the community.
Pharmacy Technician Resolves problems related to customer prescription inquiries. Responsible for implementing inventory control procedures and ordering merchandise within regulatory guidelines. Checks and stores drug deliveries. Maintains adequate stock on pharmacy shelves. Operates tablet counting machine. Maintain records and statistics. Knowledge of abbreviations, etc., for interpreting prescriptions and printing labels. Checks in drug orders and reconcile against invoices for receipt and accuracy. Basic math for calculating prescription prices and processing billing slips. Removes boxes from the pharmacy. Removes boxes from the pharmacy. All technical and non-technical duties are under the supervision of the pharmacist. Communicates with patients on a one-to-one basis accepting and handing out prescriptions. Assist the pharmacist in all aspects of prescription filling. Ongoing pharmaceutical education under direction of the pharmacist. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED. Excellent communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Previous experience in a health care setting.
