Job Description

Gpac is seeking a highly motivated individual for our client company's growing team as Plant Manager. The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities in the facility while promoting continuous improvement through strong leadership. This role would be based in Upstate New York and provides relocation assistance for those not in a commutable area.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, direct and run day-to-day operations.
Achieve goals set for the production facility.
Lead the facility in establishing and meeting continue improvement objections
Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance.
Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
Promote all safety/quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts.
Foster a well-trained and motivated team by encouraging and supporting the development of all plant employees
Provide operational and employee leadership to the facility
Assist executive management with budgeting, production statistics, cost analysis, justification of capital expenditures and asset management.
Reporting of plant KPI's
Maintain 24 hour/day on call availability to deal with potential problems/issues.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree Business or related field.
15-20 plus years' experience of leadership role within planning or supervision in a food manufacturing facility (pet food manufacturing experience highly desired)
Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities
Working knowledge of production equipment
Proactive problem-solving skills
Quality System background or foundational knowledge.
Experience with ERP, WMS and batching software.
