Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration of an open Power BI Developer position in our Program Management division. This position will be located at our Client’s Augusta, ME office (hybrid working model).

The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

We are looking for an experienced, well-qualified, Power BI developer that is interested in participating in the build and enhancement of custom project and portfolio analytics to support a large portfolio of utility construction projects. You will be responsible for creating analyses and developing business intelligence solutions to provide insight and efficiency to the stakeholders.

You will be working in the Project Controls organization, not the IT organization, so you will be working with the delivery teams to optimize project execution and provide critical insight to project performance. This position will offer the freedom to exercise creativity, explore new ideas, and make a positive difference by helping to provide project efficiency and value to the rate payers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and KPI’s in Power BI.
  • Understand the business requirements, improve existing analyses, and identify new analyses to improve insight.
  • Ensure visualizations always accurately model the data.
  • Perform timely ETLs as defined by business requirements.
  • Perform data modeling with disparate datasets from multiple systems including SAP, Primavera, SQL Server, and Excel.
  • Work collaboratively with our group’s database team to define requirements, create tables, views, and stored procedures to support your analyses as required.
  • Evolve to predictive analyses once sufficient data has been collected for modeling.
  • Manage and track agile development using our Jira instance.

Requirements

  • Expert level Power BI development skills, expert Tableau development skills will be considered as well.
  • Minimum of five years of professional Power BI development experience.
  • Expert understanding of data modeling and database normalization.
  • Expert level SQL skills.
  • Proven experience as an analytics solution developer.
  • Creative and artistic design skills to provide effective and attractive visualizations for the customer.
  • Excellent analytical and organization skills.
  • An ability to understand front-end user’s requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated and proactive work ethic.
  • BSc degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
