Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence (BI) solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, data analysis, and report development to provide actionable insights and help drive decision-making processes.

Note - This position is a contract-to-hire role - On contract 1099 Only.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Report and Dashboard Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Create and optimize DAX formulas for data calculations and visualizations.
• Integrate Power BI reports with other data sources like SQL Server, Azure, Excel, etc.
• Implement row-level security in Power BI reports and dashboards.

Data Modeling and Transformation:

• Build and manage complex data models in Power BI by transforming raw data into meaningful insights.
• Use Power Query to cleanse and transform data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data is accurately captured and transformed.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data findings to support business decisions.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations and analyses.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of BI solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI reports and dashboards.

Performance Tuning and Optimization:

• Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance, ensuring reports load quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues with reports and data models.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Documentation and Governance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
• Implement and enforce BI governance standards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
• Support the implementation of Power BI administration, including workspace and user management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI role.

Visa Status: USC & GC Only

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, or SSRS is an advantage.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and provide actionable insights.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

Certifications: Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., DA-100) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in [specific industry relevant to your company].
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Good to have experience in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
