About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate Senior Power Systems Consultant to join our Grid Software's Power Technologies International (PTI) team. This position is crucial for integrating renewable energy, storage solutions, and advanced grid technologies (FACTS) into electrical systems. You'll perform large-scale simulations of electrical transmission systems to help clients such as power producers, system operators, and transmission providers ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform transmission planning using power system planning principles to simulate and analyze the grid's steady-state and dynamic behavior.
Prepare comprehensive reports that detail your analyses, conclusions, and recommendations.
Collaborate with small project teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Develop automation scripts to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of simulations.
Support proposal development by creating project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Provide technical consulting and on-site training services for clients.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power and Energy Systems.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the electric power industry.
Hands-on knowledge of transmission system planning or operations, with experience in analyzing power flow and dynamic stability using software tools like PSSE, TARA, or TSAT.
Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Power System Consulting.
Prior transmission system planning or operational experience, especially in the MISO or SPP regions.
A Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power and Energy Systems.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $81,130 to $169,680, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Additionally, this role includes an annual incentive target as part of the compensation package. The final offer may vary depending on the candidate's location, experience, and budget considerations.
