Presidents Office Assistant and Vivion Home Coordinator Location Kansas City, MO (Davidson area) :
Reports to President's Wife Department Office of the President - Executive FLSA Status Hourly - Non-Exempt JOB PURPOSE To serve Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Midwestern) and the Midwestern community by supporting the functions, activities, and events of the President's office on campus and at the Vivion Home. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Including, but not limited to: - Assist with planning, set-up, and oversight of president's office events.
- Coordinate functions, activities, and events at the Vivion Home.
- Serve and support day-to-day functions and needs of the President's office.
- Fulfill other responsibilities and tasks as needed and assigned, including errands, cleaning, and various support tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Including, however not limited to: - Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Able to meet the full range of needs from coordination to clean-up of events
- Must enjoy hospitality, and have an eagerness to serve campus guests
- Adaptable to the dynamic nature of institutional life and the needs involved
- Must be flexible with time and availability
- Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
- Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
- Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Able to show a desire and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States
WORKING CONDITIONS - Part- time, no more than 20 hours per week
- Evenings and weekend hours may be required
- Hours per week may vary depending on workload and scheduling of events
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
