Position Overview:
A top Private Equity Client in Chicago, IL are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Equity Principal to join their team. This position offers a partner track and will be primarily responsible for leading the entire deal process in the business services sector, from sourcing to execution and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities in the business services sector.
  • Lead due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, market research, and operational assessments.
  • Develop and present investment theses and recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Structure and negotiate transaction terms, including deal structuring, financing, and legal documentation.
  • Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Actively participate in portfolio monitoring and management, including performance tracking, strategic planning, and exit readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, executing, and managing successful investments in the business services sector.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
