**Who We Are Looking For**

We are seeking a motivated Product Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Product Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping the positioning and messaging of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer success, to ensure our marketing initiatives resonate with our target audience and drive product adoption.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Create high-quality marketing collateral, including product datasheets, case studies, white papers, and blog posts, that effectively communicate product benefits and features.
- Develop, edit, and distribute product release announcements.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of collateral, including online information and data sheets, as part of product launch tasks or unique marketing campaigns.
- Execute product launch tasks, either owning specific launches or participating as a team member for larger launches.
- Support trade-show preparation by updating presentations, completing preparation tasks, and attending shows.
- Conduct market and industry research to understand competition, product environment, and related market trends.
- Perform competitive analysis and market research to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities, training, customer visits, trade shows, professional publications, and participation in professional organizations.
- Develop an understanding of our major initiatives, programs, services, events, and products, and participate in company training sessions.
- Perform other administrative and support duties related to the daily operations of the department.
- Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate with product management and sales teams to create and execute effective go-to-market strategies for product launches.
- Work with the customer success team to gather feedback and insights from customers to inform product enhancements and marketing strategies.
- Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to optimize campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with design, development, and other marketing team members to ensure consistent brand messaging and cohesive marketing strategies.

**Qualifications and Skills**

- Strong understanding of B2B software products and the technology landscape.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and software (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms, analytics tools).
- Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
- Fast learner, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional project/task manager with attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office required, including Word & Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately, while demonstrating initiative, patience, and courtesy.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

**Requirements**

- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably in the software industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.

**Physical Requirements**

- Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal, or meeting table for long periods.
- Ability to use hands and fingers or adaptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to use a telephone frequently for long periods and to hear and speak clearly by telephone.

**Location and Compensation**

This is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego county are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office, while those residing outside of San Diego county will be considered fully remote. The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $84,000 per year, depending on factors such as education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, and location.
