Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the project staff in coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions.
  • Work with the Project Manager to establish cost reporting, reviewing, and tracking systems for project components and change orders.
  • Assist in managing allowance tracking logs.
  • Manage drawings, drawing records, revisions, and ASIs, and effectively communicate these to all trades.
  • Take notes and issue meeting minutes for all applicable meetings.
  • Assist with preparation of bid packages and procurement.
  • Manage the submittal process, review, and distribution as well as RFIs.
  • Manage BIM MEP 3D Coordination.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance manuals are completed according to standards.
  • Assist field personnel in managing quality control.
  • Contribute to the management of job activities in accordance with company policies and procedures and within the bounds of the project contract.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships and performance directly or in partnership with the project manager. Serve as the interface between jobsite activities, the main office, and subcontractors and/or suppliers.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of quality control programs and life safety checkout procedures.
  • Prepare and manage procurement tracking logs to correlate with the project schedule and demands.
  • Monitor and enforce safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and site visitors.
  • Assure compliance by becoming intimately familiar with assigned project plans and specifications. Review shop drawings and submittals.
  • Review plans from the standpoint of value analysis and constructability, ensuring appropriate materials are utilized. Communicate inconsistencies to the architect.
  • Research construction problems.
  • Perform work sampling. Observe and analyze work methods, techniques, and procedures to advise the superintendent on improving production efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of project engineering experience with a general contractor.
  • Commercial Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, etc.) and standard business software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

75k-100k but will consider more if the right candidate.
