Job Description

An expanding Healthcare Group, known for providing top-notch care for their geriatric patients in nursing homes is now seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has prior experience working as a Psych NP to join their successful and growing team in Rockland County, NY.

Schedule:
1-2 days per week
8 hour shifts

Responsibilities will include:

Performing physical exams and patient observations.
Perform patients rounds.
Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms.
Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests.
Diagnosing health issues and sharing it with the physician on call.

Requirements:
PMHNP/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License in the state of NY
Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Experience working as a Psych NP in a long-term care facility
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with the elderly
Active DEA
Enrolled in Medicare- preferred
Outgoing and friendly personality
