Responsible for managing and coordinating highly complex and cross-functional communications plans – both internal and external - that support highly-visible AT&T organizations such as Advertising, Media, Brand, Sponsorships and DE&I.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and confer expertise through development and coordination of tactical and effective communications plans – both internally to increase employee awareness and engagement, and externally to ensure positive brand positioning and thought leadership.
  • Responsibilities include writing, development and management of cross-functional communications materials, including but not limited to: clear and concise positioning and messaging; press releases, pitches and media alerts optimized/simplified for press; as well as executive communications (internal and external), executive briefings, social media copy, thought-leadership articles and scripts.
  • In this role, you will provide expertise and counsel to AVP and Director-level business partners.
  • You will make decisions on important public relations reactive/proactive stories, narratives and content that will be delivered by leaders and on official AT&T communications channels.
  • Your work will reflect our company’s purpose, priorities, values and position on important topics and key business matters.
  • Must maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends affecting the company and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • You will be expected to lead cross-functional teams with peers and managers at all levels across multiple business units to ensure the communications plan meets all stakeholders’ goals and is optimized for message pull-through.
  • You will be expected to deliver value to business units through actions such as positive impact on reputation, increased share of voice, issues management/crisis communications, and meeting and exceeding campaign KPIs.
  • As directed, manage special projects and serve as the subject matter expert.

Education:

  • Typically, Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Typically, 3 - 5 years of experience (agency or in-house) in a related field - brand, advertising, sports, entertainment, DE&I.

  • No.

Our Public Relations Manager, earn between $71,900 - $107,900. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
