Public Relations Manager

ABOUT

Location: New York city.

We are seeking a Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. We need you to do firm branding ; oversee firm-wide media relations activities, including developing its media strategy, writing press releases and other promotional materials, and manage its website and social media accounts ; develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media ; identify any potential financial or firm management issues that might be a concern to LPs and prospective investors and mitigate these issues in advance ; coordinate all public relations activities ; monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis ; build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness and maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting portfolio companies and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Communications, Marketing, or Advertising is preferred.

Strong relationships with national and global industry media outlets.

Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both national and global level.

Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews.

Exceptional writing and editing skills.

Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Event planning experience.
