Overview of Job Function

Panzura is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join our engineering team newly being established at Pune, India. As a Quality Analyst Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our distributed storage systems. You will work closely with the QA team and collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to conduct testing across various storage protocols and use cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring professional to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance, distributed storage, and storage protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of quality assurance strategies and methodologies for distributed storage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to test planning and execution.
• Conduct robust testing of the distributed Cloud based file-system using storage protocols such as SMB, NFS, iSCSI.
• Perform end-to-end testing of storage use cases, including data consistency, availability, snapshots, encryption, quotas, mirroring, and replication.
• Identify and document software defects, track their resolution, and validate fixes.
• Assist in maintaining test environments and test data.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test automation frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in quality assurance and distributed storage.
• Support the QA team in documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Having 1-5 years of experience in enterprise product development.
• Experience with QA automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or PyTest.
• Basic understanding of quality assurance methodologies and processes.
• Familiarity with storage protocols such as SMB, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NVMe-oF is a plus.
• Experience over system virtualization platforms, such as VMware, HyperV or, Xen
• Windows, Linux or Unix operating system experience
• Shell Scripting experience (e.g., bash, ksh, csh)
• Knowledge of file systems, distributed storage concepts, and related technologies.
• Exposure to testing storage use cases, including I/O performance, snapshots, encryption, quotas, mirroring, and replication, is desirable.
• Familiarity with test case management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Motivated and eager to learn, with a passion for quality assurance and distributed storage technologies.
