Job Description:
A South Suburban Food Processing Company seeks a Quality Control Manager. This position will manage the QC staff of a two shift operation to ensure the safe production of food products to meet customer and FDA requirements. Duties include:

· Ensure the supplier approval process is functioning properly, including the receipt of letters of guarantee, raw material specifications, allergen information, assurance of GMP’s, assurance of a working HACCP program, adherence to the bioterrorism act and supplier auditing as deemed necessary.

· Ensure finished product quality by facilitating specification development process with customers and assuring adherence to those standards prior to releasing product for shipment, including the generation of COA’s.

· Manage laboratory testing and quality inspections of all finished products produced including analytical and microbiological testing.

· Ensure identity preserved programs are up to date and functioning properly with kosher products, organic products, gluten free products, non-GMO products, etc., manage the formula and label control process as required.

· Manage audits and maintain SQF certification or others as required.

· Update and conduct Food Safety Training as required.

Requirements :
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience managing a Quality Control Dept. in an FDA or USDA, Food Processing environment.
