Job Description

• Location: Saranac Lake, NY 12983
• Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,160
• Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
• Shift: Rotating
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests with accuracy and precision
• Analyze and interpret test results, and communicate findings to healthcare providers
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
• Document all test results and quality control data appropriately
• Ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Participate in continuing education and training
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing problems independently
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and deliver timely results

Requirements:

• Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
• Experience in: Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology.
• Experience with Werfen ACL Top Coagulation Analyzers.
• Experience with Meditech LIS (Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and quality standards
• Ability to work varied shifts and adapt to workload changes

Travel Considerations:

• Candidates outside a 60-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
