The Research and Reference Librarian is responsible for providing reference and research services to faculty, students, staff, the legal community, and public patrons. Covers routine shifts at the Reference Desk and collaborates in developing and providing reference and circulation services, policies, and schedules; provides student worker guidance and supervision as appropriate. Collaborates in developing and delivering the research curriculum for the first-year Lawyering Skills course; provides legal research instruction at the Reference Desk and other student consultations as needed. Teaches or co-teaches Advanced Legal Research and the Kansas Supreme Court Research Practicum; provides guest research lectures for other law school courses as needed. Serves as a liaison to law faculty for library services and is an active member of the faculty services research team. Actively promotes law faculty scholarly output via SSRN, KU ScholarWorks, and related services. Promotes current awareness of legal research databases including Artificial Intelligence resources. This is a twelve-month, tenure track position in the law library.
