Blooms Garden Center, Retail Member.

Blooms Garden Center and Gift Shop are looking for outgoing and friendly individuals to join our retail team! 

Our retail center carries a large variety of gift items, home and garden décor, as well as beautiful houseplants. All Blooms Garden Center transactions are handled through the retail shop. We strive to provide the best customer service and experience for our customers. Retail team members will perform a variety of tasks including greeting customers, answering customer questions, phone calls, cleaning and handling POS transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and make sure customers find the service or products they need.
• POS transactions with additional cashier duties.
• Follow procedures for customer service.
• Handle inquiries from customers. Checking availability of hard and/or green goods, seeking horticultural information and recommendations for customer needs.
• Stocking/restocking materials, watering and caring for houseplants.
• Creating displays; maintaining beautiful, easy-to-shop sales areas.
• Assist customers in proper care and maintenance of plants.
• Answering phone calls.

There are occasional crossovers between the retail team and the green team for helping in the Courtyard, such as: helping unload deliveries, caring for plants, and pricing.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• A horticulture background is a plus but not required.
• Outgoing personality and interest in helping customers.
• Must be able to work weekends and some evenings, adaptable to seasonal work schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced/hectic work environment; make decisions “on the run.”
• Able to multitask.
• Self-sufficient in day-to-day tasks; productive in downtime, able to keep busy.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Full-time and part-time jobs available.
Compensation will be commensurate with the experience and hours desired.

About Blooms by BladeWorks:

BladeWorks Landscaping started in 1992. We provide commercial and residential property care: landscaping, lawn services, tree care, snow removal, and commercial holiday lighting. Over the years, our landscaping business grew and we began to see the need to open our own retail garden center to better serve our clients. Blooms Garden Center and Gift Shop opened in 2017. We carry annuals, vegetables, herbs, perennials, grasses, shrubs, evergreens and trees. The Gift Shop is filled with unique gifts, handmade goods, houseplants and home and garden décor.
