Note: This job posting is planning for future work. Position Summary Lays out, aligns and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.
Primary Responsibilities - Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
- Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
- Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Product quality work with reasonable efficiency
- Perform simple piping installations and repairs
- Additional responsibilities not listed may be required
Qualifications - Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
- NCCER Certified Plus, preferred
- IRATA / SPRAT Level 1 or 2 certification
- Must have a capacity for work at heights
- Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.
- Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to the IRAT/SPRAT standards and practices
- Ensures team members utilize proper personal protective equipment
- Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site specific and company's safety procedures
- Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices
- Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use
- Recognizes worksite hazards and notifies the Rope Access Supervisor of any unsafe conditions
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, respirators, etc.)
