Job Description

Job Duties Include:

• New Product Launch: Responsible for customer interaction to determine customer needs, identify issues and improvements, engineer new products, install products, and teach Jacobs customers in the field on proper setup. Travel 60%
• Hit Team/Field Engineer: Travel will be required. Jacobs parts are installed in highly abrasive and dynamic machines and failures occur. It is the job of the Engineer to analyze failed, worn, or new parts and recommend changes for the customer to avoid failure. This will entail being trained in numerous grinding and densification industries ranging worldwide from plastic, wood, feed, and consumables.
• Design: Utilize Solidworks to design new parts, complete engineering change orders, and perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Work with the Jacobs domestic and international teams to problem-solve wear patterns and recommend new specifications.
• Capital Projects: Involved in R&D, plant layout, equipment selection, equipment negotiation and procurement and start-up.
• Manufacturing: Analyze costs, process flows, utilization and recommend and execute improvement projects.

Skills/Experience Desired:

• Great Communication Skills.
• Desire to be in sales position to provide value to the end client.
• 4-year Engineering or technical degree.
• Willingness to travel 60%.
• Ability to work in plants with customers and install and troubleshoot equipment.
• Passport will be required and Valid Driver License.
• Trouble shooting abilities.
• Good Organizational and Project Management skills.
• Diversified knowledge in mechanical equipment.
• Ability to use common manufacturing and inspection hand tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Knowledge in Minitab and Solidworks.
• Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred.
