SU MM ARY

Loads material onto customer trucks. Performs genera l clerica l and office s upport duties for the scale ho uses. Arranges for delivery , and ticketing of all sa l es.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Works from general supervis i on o n routine dutie s w ith sta nd ard policies and proc e dures. Refer s problems and que s tion s to s upervisor .

PRI MARY DUTIES & R ESPONSIBI LITI ES

• Loads customer trucks using Front End Loader with requested product and tonnage.

• Answer phone co urt eo u sly and a rr a n ge custo m e r order s. Take me ssages, when appropr i ate

• We i g h trucks and create sca le tickets using computer system.

• Arrange for and dispatch truck deli ver i es.

• Pro v i de customer se rvice b y a n swe ring que s tion s, taking credit applications and assisting c u s tom ers & ve ndor s , as needed , calcu l at in g rock r eq uirement s and appropriate pricing.

• Forward l arge r a nd bid type projects to sa l es staff .

• R espo n s ibl e for ca r e and maint e nance of computer and phone e quipm e nt.

• Responsible for care and preventative maintenance of Front End Loader.

• Re l ay messages on th e radio, as needed.

• Primarily in charge of all in com in g and out g oin g fac s i m il es.

• Mail correspondence to th e Springfield office.

• Know l e d ge of MS H A (Mine Safety and H ea lt h Administration) rul es, t ra in in g practices , fir s t a id a nd a n y other ru l es of safety as app l icable to the s p ec ifi c tas k.

• K ee p work a r ea c l ea n a nd o r de r ly ins i de the sca l e ho use a nd a r o u nd th e quarry.

• Must s ubmit to random dru g testing , as se l ec t e d , a nd co mpl y wit h Co mpan y Drug a nd A lcoh o l P o l i cy.

REQU IRED MI NI MU M QUA LIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Ski ll s/ Abilitie s

Knowledge of genera l office pra ct ice s a nd pro ce dur es. Knowled ge of gra mm a r , s p e llin g a nd punctuation. Skill in operating a computer to sto r e dat a and ge nera te report s . Abi li ty to add, s ubt ract , multiply and divide. Abi li ty to u se ge n eral office equipment s uch as a calc ul ator , p e r s onal comp ut e r , copy machine, fax machine , e tc . Ve rb al a nd w ritten communication sk ill s n ee de d. Ability to pay c l ose at t e ntion to detail with m inim a l e rro r s , both over th e telephone a n d int ra-pe r so nn e l. Sk ill i n s afety aro und other ind ividua l s a n d mach in es.

Able to climb a 6 – 8 foot vertical ladder to access cab of Front End Loader. Competent understanding of Front End Loader safe operation.

E ducation

High schoo l g r ad u at i o n or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Six months to one yea r 's expe ri ence preferred performing genera l cle ri ca l duties and office functions. One year experience operating a 5 cubic yard Front End Loader or larger.
