Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Senior Clinical Social Worker for the Division of HIV and STD Program - Disease Control Bureau. The Senior Clinical Social Worker will provide professional social work services to patients and families presenting difficult and complex medical and related psycho-social problems; or, in addition to providing direct patient services, has responsibility for the social work activities of a small social work unit in a community ambulatory care setting.
The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 6/30/2024 with potential extension.
Pay Rate-$53.84/hr

Shifts: Onsite at clients Commerce, CA Office Please note , All full- time temporary personnel will be required to work 40 hours per week, unless a flexible work schedule (e.g., 9/80), or an alternative work schedule is approved by the County Program Director or Supervisor. The normal working schedule will be daytime (within 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.), Monday through Friday. For select employees, there may be occasional evening and/or weekend hours. Staff scheduling will be adjusted to accommodate teleworking (if approved), working off site, and flexible work schedules to meet program goals and objectives.
Job Duties - Conducts psychosocial assessments and linkage to mental health and other social services for clients presenting difficult medical and related psychosocial problems to engage them in care.
- Participates in outreach activities to reach highly vulnerable clients in non-clinical settings at risk of or experiencing syphilis.
- Contributes to multi-disciplinary team case conference reviews and shares findings and lessons learned to improve overall client care plans and programmatic response.
- Makes referrals to, coordinates, and utilizes community resources/agencies, other professional disciplines, and County departments to provide services in accordance with the patient treatment plan.
- Develops and implements a social work treatment plan based upon an analysis of the patient's psychosocial factors and medical illness.
Minimum Qualifications: - Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education inclining two years of clinical social work experience
- An active and valid license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Desirable Qualifications: - Experience working with populations affected by or living with HIV/AIDS and STDs..
- Experience working with individuals experiencing unstable housing and substance use disorder.
