The Senior Health Specialist at Orica is responsible for improving health performance and compliance with global regulatory requirements across the organization. This remote position involves collaboration with the Global and Regional Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) teams and requires expertise in health risk management and psychosocial frameworks. The role demands strong stakeholder management and communication skills, as well as the ability to build trusting relationships within a diverse global team.

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Health Specialist with the Orica North America team.
The Senior Health Specialist will support the Senior Manager - Global Health in leading improvements in Health performance across Orica. Collaboration with other roles within the Global and Regional SHES (Safety, Health, Environment and Security) teams and operational resources will be an essential element of this position.
We are open to this person sitting anywhere in the United States, working remote.

• Support compliance with global regulatory requirements related to Health.
• Provide health subject matter expertise and support to SHES Specialists and Operational Leaders.
• Experience with designing and implementing psychosocial risk management frameworks in large organizations.
• Experience with risk assessment methodology for the management of health hazards.
• Experience with designing and implementing robust fitness for work programs guidance and tools.
• Design, develop and review Health Standards, Group Procedures, guidance material and training.
• Provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the health assurance program.
• Maintain a professional, proactive and constructive working relationship between the Regional Business and the regulators.
• Maintain Health master data and analytics for Orica, including Health risk bowties, health material risks and health major hazards and key control.s
• Monitoring of internal and external Health issues, trends and opportunities.
• Any other activities deemed appropriate by Group or the Region.

• Bachelor degree + in related health disciplines such as Organizational Psychology or similar
• Five years+ of Industry experience, manufacturing and/or mining industry experience
