Job Description

Senior Product Designer

About Handraise:

Founded in 2023, Handraise exists to unlock the power of news for the world’s top brands and beyond. We’re looking for craftspeople who are eager to collaborate with the top Communications professionals in the world to revolutionize how they understand and drive business impact from their news and social media. We're passionate about building a company that solves real problems for Communications professionals, journalists, and eventually broader news audiences. We're all about enabling our team through autonomy and ownership, and we champion a variety of viewpoints. We work hard, have a competitive spunk, and believe in living life beyond work so we can show up the healthiest, happiest versions of ourselves and do our best work for ourselves and our team. We're a tight group of collaborators in Austin, TX, backed by some of the best investors in the world, including Floodgate, Silverton Partners, and Bill Wood Ventures. Our Founder previously was the Founder of PR analytics startup, TrendKite, which was sold to Cision (NYSE:CISN) in 2019 for $225M.

About the Role:

Handraise is hiring its first Senior Product Designer to become a core member of our early team. Reporting to the Founder & CEO, you'll work closely with the founding team to design and build a world-class user experience that fundamentally changes the PR landscape. You'll be instrumental in helping define our UX strategy and work closely with engineering to create a brand-defining UI. You'll move from one challenge to the next, significantly influencing product development and prioritizing design quality and craftsmanship, while also helping refine our brand experience and marketing assets early on.

Your Impact:
  • You’ll work closely with the entire founding team to design new measurement & analytics work-streams, data management fundamentals, newsfeeds, reporting, and develop new features that balance vision, speed, and business potential
  • From day one, you’ll plug into and build upon our Design foundations — from our design system, to product discovery using Jobs To Be Done, our product principles, and early strides on UI component-driven development
  • You’ll partner with customer success, sales and product to decompose customer jobs, needs and wants and use this data to inform your work
  • You’ll work with the Founder & CEO to help run projects from idea to completion with Engineering and test ideas at all levels of fidelity
  • You’ll help evolve our design system and visual standards in its early stages to be constantly improving the look and feel of Handraise

Your skills:
  • You've spent a few years creating product experiences that people regularly use.
  • Your refined sense of product design, excellent taste, and eye for detail ensure your work is always flawlessly presented.
  • You're skilled at simplifying complex ideas into solutions that are straightforward and immediately beneficial for users.
  • You have a knack for weaving together images and text to tell compelling stories.
  • You're an attentive listener, never hesitant to inquire for clarity, and you enjoy working with others.
  • You're highly skilled in using Figma to bring your design prototypes to life.
  • You're at ease speaking directly with users to test new ideas and gather feedback through interviews.
  • You flourish when given the freedom to operate independently, driven by a natural curiosity and a commitment to see things through.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience B2B SaaS
  • You have experience at an early-stage start-up or high-growth environment.
  • You have experience working at/with product-led growth companies.

Our Benefits:
  • Handraise offers very competitive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life)

Sound great? What next?
  • Send an online portfolio and resume to careers@handraise.com
  • Initial call with Founder & CEO 45 min
  • Initial call with CTO 30 min
  • Onsite meeting with core team 1 hour
  • Offer!
