Job Description

Provides Speech Therapy services to residents by assisting in the assessment and treatment, development and implementation of programs, and related professional in services.

AFTERSCHOOLERS

Location: Lower Valley Brownsville, San Benito, Harlingen, La Feria Location: Mid valley: Mercedes, Edcouch - Elsa, Weslaco, Donna Location: Upper Valley: McAllen, Mission, Pharr, San Juan, Edinbrug ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Provides Speech therapy services to clients under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist in accordance with state regulations.
• Assists the Speech Therapist in the evaluation process as needed or directed.
• Assists the Speech Therapist in identifying a problem list, short-term goals, long term goals and treatment plan.
• Monitors client's response to intervention and consults with Speech Therapist if modification is indicated.
• Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
• Adheres to Speech Therapy Department procedures regarding documentation of
• Physical Therapy services.
• Provides treatment in accordance with established standards of practice, department procedures and productivity standards.
• Records billable treatment times according to Speech Therapy Department procedures.
• Assists with and participates in Quality Assurance Programs as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current license / registration by state of hire as an SLPA
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
• Current TB and CPR certifications
• Excellent Customer Service and Support skills
