In this role, you will be responsible for directing, executing, and supervising all aspects of the maintenance, operations, irrigation, and management of the racquet courts, bocce, and croquet field. Maintains accurate and detailed records of maintenance operations and chemical/fertilizer applications; monitors budget performance to control expenses; supervises the care of the racquet sports facilities to be clean, organized and safe; maintains all components of the irrigation system and monitors the use of allocated water supply, coordinate projects and improvements; creates a safe, positive, and productive work environment for team members; supervises the maintenance and care of all assigned equipment; performs related work as required.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the maintenance of racquet courts, turfgrass management, croquet courts, bocce, and appropriate materials and equipment. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three to five years combined experience in an assistant or manager level position within the industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

  • Daily work must be organized and prioritized to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Supervises all fertilization and maintenance of lawns and areas related to racquet sports.
  • Conducts regular maintenance and repair work on equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed for repairs or maintenance work.
  • Ensures all areas around and attached to courts including ramadas, closets, drainage areas, furniture, appliances, windscreens, doors, nets, rails, walkways, walls, and benches are serviced, maintained, and repaired as necessary.
  • Orders and stores supplies, fertilizers, turf paints and dyes, and equipment within budgetary constraints for the proper agronomy of grass.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and cleaning.
  • Responsible for personnel and cost estimates for annual budgets and projects.
  • Communicates to leadership all non-routine maintenance that is required throughout the year on all courts. Including washing, painting, renovating, aerifying, overseeding, and topdressing.
  • Responds to Racquet sports-related requests from teammates and management in a timely manner.
  • Provides support for special events or projects that include Sonoran facilities or racquet sports areas.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Always maintains a safe working and playing environment on and around all outdoor courts.
  • Ensures teammates are utilized with maximum efficiency for the repairs, maintenance, and care of all racquet sports facilities.
  • Hires, disciplines, promotes, and terminates court maintenance teammates under guidelines established by Desert Mountain Club Inc.
  • Oversees and manages payroll matters, approvals, and safety trainings in the Paycom system.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports.
