Are you a recent graduate eager to start your career, or do you have between 1-5 years of experience in tax or public accounting? We invite you to explore this exciting opportunity as Staff Accountant to one of the established CPA firm in the Portland area.

If you have more than 5 years of experience, a Senior Accountant position is also available.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure the precise and timely preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Build and sustain strong client relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.
• Adjust trial balances for accurate tax preparation.
• Conduct tax planning for both entities and individuals.
• Address tax notices from Federal, State, or local authorities.
• Investigate and resolve tax and accounting issues impacting clients.
• Assist with various special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Experience with taxation is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in planning and research.
• High degree of integrity, ethics, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
• Career-focused with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
