Job Posting: Store Team Leader - Pet Retail

Are you passionate about pets and eager to lead a dynamic team in a thriving retail environment? We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Store Team Leader to join our pet supply store family. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their families while developing your leadership skills.

As our Store Team Leader, you'll be the heart of our operation, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers and guiding your team to success. Your role will be pivotal in creating an exceptional shopping experience and driving our store's performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead by example, actively engaging with customers and their pets to foster a friendly store environment
- Build relationships with local animal welfare organizations and support community events
- Analyze sales data and develop strategies to boost performance and team productivity
- Create a positive, fun atmosphere for both team members and customers
- Ensure compliance with operational policies, including animal care, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain high store audit scores and customer satisfaction ratings
- Drive results across various business areas, including sales, loyalty programs, and customer engagement
- Promote team engagement by understanding individual motivations and supporting career development
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for all store positions
- Cultivate a culture of continuous learning through training, coaching, and constructive feedback
- Establish connections with local community organizations to enhance marketing and partnership opportunities

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience leading retail teams, preferably in a pet-related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and retail management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate store equipment, including forklifts
- Physical capacity to climb ladders, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability for various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years or older with a passion for animals and community service
