Job Description

SEnergy  is seeking a  Senior Systems Administrator with Data Analyst Experience to perform a hybrid role and join the IT Team.

The candidate will be required to critically think and engage with stakeholders across the organization to drive forward projects while protecting Company assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, workstations and networking equipment.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software. This includes but is not limited to endpoint and server patching, and Mobile Device Management.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to Project Team and Manager for planning/implementing of new or upgrades to IT infrastructure (hardware or software)
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Acts as a trusted data visualization advisor to the team to drive business value.
  • Lead technology projects and collaborates with employees to determine areas of improvement in relation to data or workflow.
  • Visualize data with graphs, infographics and other methods for better data delivery.
  • Maintain databases and data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance.
  • Translate and convey complex technical information and procedures to audiences of varying skill level written and orally.
  • Takes active role reviewing and recommending updates/ upgrades to existing system to improve performance.
  • Actively participates in industry, COE, or other discipline-relevant groups/panels to stay ahead of industry trends and share standard methodologies with team.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude while under stress.
  • Reliability, confidentiality / trust, multitasking.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative analytics field such as Computer Science, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or other business-related subject area or 5 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Servers and infrastructure hardware components to include network switches, storage arrays, SAN, NAS, Firewalls, Backup systems, etc.
  • Excellent Microsoft experience across multiple platforms: O365, Azure, Azure AD , Teams, Exchange, etc.
  • Experience with setup and day to day management of VOIP phone systems.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, Hyper-V, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Experience with patching and software deployment.
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Strong Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills and interaction capabilities with internal and external customers.
  • Experience identifying and implementing innovative ways to address business problems and solutions.
  • Experience developing business deliverables that leverage business intelligence platforms, data management platforms, and SQL-based languages (MSSql, MySql, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience utilizing ODBC, SQL Queries, and Data Visualization tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
  • Demonstrable ability to build business knowledge through significant partnerships at the individual contributor, leadership, and EMG levels.
  • Demonstrated advanced communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to embed intuitive story telling within business intelligence solutions.
  • System administration and IT certifications in Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred experience & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration environment for on premises and cloud-based servers and applications.   
  • Data Analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility (i.e. Power, Energy, Engineering)
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Advanced knowledge to influence relevant data, information and application architecture decisions.
  • A+, Server+, Security+ and Microsoft certifications.
